Blue mountains bushwalk

In blue mountains you will have a day out full of spectacular scenery, stunning bushwalks, cable-car rides and gourmet meals in the Blue Mountains. The scenic and relaxing two-hour train ride from Sydney includes panoramic views as the train hugs the cliff edges - views you'd miss from a car.

Blue mountains is not very far from Sydney and is located on the western side of the city. We took a train from the Sydney Central at 8:30 and reached Blue mountains at 10:30. Direct 2 hour journey.

The three sisters viewpoint is a short walk of around 1km from the station. For the lazy bumps there are buses too.

The bushwalk at the blue mountains which we took was a hard one. It was around 6 kms and had steep downhill. It started with stepping down 900 stairs followed by a narrow passageway.

Keep in mind to carry enough food and water for the bushwalk. It is in wilderness and do not expect to see any food or even water outlets.

On our way we were also saw a 10 foot snake just above the passage which scarred the shit out of us at that time. It took him 15 mins to cross and we patiently waited for him to go. Don't think we had any other option, on one side was a snake and on the other the giant stairway which we just stepped down. ;)

One of the sitting place that we could find on our way on our lonely walk.

On our way up, we took a train which was steepest passenger railway in the world with an incline of 52 degrees. Too excited at that time, missed clicking it.

Blue mountains also has very good cafes and nice street which gives a touristy feel to the place. A perfect walk and enough exercise to not make you feel guilty while having an extra large cheese burger and large shake. :)

There was more to explore in that region, but that was only what we could do it in a day. Hopefully next trip there, we would be able to check out more.
